While in Warroad, Betty invited our family over to their farm to see the miniature horses.
As most of you know, I’ve been travelling to Warroad every other week for a couple days. The temperatures there are about fifteen degrees less than in the Twin Cities, and they have snow this year, while we have nothing :-(. I was invited over to one of my new friends homes and for a short snowmobil ride. It was a blast, it’s the first time I’ve ever been on one. The snowmobil only has the accelerator, the break, and the emergency cut-out. What I enjoy the most, is the jumping! I did manage to put the snowmobil on one ski three times, that was also fun. I’m told it’s a lot more fun in the day time. Who says it’s too cold in Minnesota, it’s just right ![]()
Naomi and the girls drove up one Friday afternoon to stay over for a ten day visit to Warroad (where I’ve been working four days a week). They were going to break the eight hour drive into two days, but decided to surprise me, it was very cool. The scenery is beautiful, the air is crisp and fresh, the fishing is excellent, but when you’re used to city life only minutes away, it seems as though theres not much to do… But they certainly tried, they explored Warroad (population of around 1700), Roseau, and some surrounding areas, but the most fun was when we took some time to visit Canada and some of the gorgeous State parks in the area.
Take a look at the sign above the girls heads in the second picture, there didn’t appear to be too much that might be of interest to them… In the last picture, the girls are catching butterflies on the front lawn at Marvin Windows.
